Overview

Convertosaur is a browser extension that converts web pages into ebook formats. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

  • Page content: When you convert a page, the extension captures the page content and sends it to our servers for processing. We do not store page content after conversion is complete.
  • Account data: If you sign in via Google SSO, we receive and store your email address, name, and profile picture to manage your account and display your identity within the service.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymous, aggregated conversion counts to improve the service. We do not track which specific pages you convert.

Google SSO Authentication

Convertosaur uses Google Single Sign-On (SSO) as the sole authentication method. When you sign in, Google provides us with your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password. Your Google account credentials remain entirely with Google. We use this information only to create and manage your Convertosaur account.

Pro Tier & Billing Data

If you subscribe to the Pro plan, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We retain your billing email address, subscription status, and plan type to manage your account. Conversion usage metrics (counts per billing period) are tracked to enforce plan limits. This data is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted upon account deletion.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not track your browsing history.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not use your data for advertising.
  • We do not retain converted page content after processing.

Google Drive Integration

If you enable Google Drive sync, we request permission to create and manage files in a dedicated Convertosaur folder in your Drive. We do not access any other files in your Drive account.

Email Delivery

If you configure email delivery, we store your delivery email address to send converted files. We do not use this address for marketing or any other purpose.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Converted files are temporarily stored during processing and deleted within 24 hours.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@convertosaur.com. You can also uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data collection.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the extension or email. Continued use of Convertosaur after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
